Thank God He doesn't merely hire us; doesn't pay us a wage for our services. That would be farcical, seeing He is without need and we have nothing to offer that He couldn't provide better without us. Rather He, being whole and complete, ministers grace and kindness to us who need greatly.
Is He worth sacrificing for? Unspeakably so; infinitely!
Until something better comes along? There is no such, nor can there ever be!

Very true and very encouraging.
But there is a danger:
Living in a slothful and self-indulgent society, we may be inclined to adopt these thoughts as a mantra-- something mystic and magical upon which to fall back and rely in times of need.
We must realize that ALL our times are times of need, and that the promises of God are certain and infallible.
Only if we know what they are can we employ them and profit by them.
Learn to find the needful and applicable passages of Holy Scripture.
Mark them in your Bible, and refer to them often.
Adam feared God and tried to hide from Him.
Jesus responded to Satan's challenges by citing God's Word in its right context, driving the devil away.
