“You shall rise up before the grayheaded and honor the aged” (Leviticus 19:32).

Age is a good thing.  Unlike the American habit of buying black balloons for birthday milestones, the one who had been around was viewed with respect.  How many years do we have left in this life?  If they are spent pursuing wisdom and Christ-likeness, then age is a privilege to look forward to.
